Charity Pre-match Luncheon for Businesses Sponsoring KRFC
We propose to have two Charity Pre-match Luncheons each season in future where business who already sponsor the club in some way take a table of 8-10 guests at £20 per place and at least £5 of this will go directly to the nominated Charity. In addition to this there will be raffles, auctions etc during the lunch to raise further funds. So as not to create any embarrassing conflicts of interest we intend to limit each event to one profession per luncheon on a first come first served basis.
There will also be the opportunity for businesses to become the Event Sponsor and nominate a particular Charity for one of these lunches in return for an agreed donation to that Charity.
We also intend to organise having a photo taken of a representative from the Event Sponsor’s company presenting a large cheque to the Charity along with all the other heads of tables. This photo will be distributed to the local press with details of all those in the photo and the company they represent.
We very much appreciate the support we get from the local businesses that sponsor us in some way. Therefore, in addition, we would like to use this opportunity to introduce all the business sponsoring a table at the lunch to each other commercially with the hope that they might actually get something back for their generosity. Our plan here is to have a good quality menu printed for the day with details of the 6-8 companies taking tables and give brief details what services they provide with contact details so all the guest can take these away for future reference. This will hope fully give a ‘soft’ introduction to all the guests of KRFC business sponsors community.
This is a new idea but we believe it has great potential to raise funds for local Charities with both the Sponsors and the club getting recognition for this in the local press as well as introducing businesses that sponsor the club to each other. In order that there is no clash of interests it is our intention to have only one of each profession at these lunches on a first come basis.
The first of these Pre-match Luncheons is planned for 9th November this year and this will be in aid of the Get A-Head Charitable Trust (details attached) with the Event Sponsors being Bromwich Hardy thanks to Tom Bromwich. The Trust has a specialist unit based at the QE Hospital in Birmingham which covers the Greater Midlands and is totally self-funded raising money to fight head & neck diseases which is a very worthwhile cause.
The next Charity Luncheon will be on 22nd March 2014 when Gingernut Creative our new Main Sponsors will be the Event Sponsor. However dependent on the level of interest it would also be possible to hold one on 30th November this year.
