Dear KRFC members.
You may or not know that our son Alfie Dingley has finally been given the license we have been fighting for to legally use medicinal cannabis to help control his epilepsy.
This journey to first get a trial in Holland to see if cannabis could help and then apply for a license to use it in this country started well over a year ago. The very first hurdle to jump was to raise the funds we would need to move the whole family to Holland and live there for as long as it took to find out if medicinal cannabis would help my son.
We were so happy when Kenilworth Rugby Club contacted us and said they would like to help and organised an amazing day where Alfie could wear the kit and lead the first team out onto the pitch. We also managed to raise a large amount of money which gave us a huge moral boost and the belief we could go on and achieve what we had set out to do.
I would just like to say a massive thank you to Kenilworth Rugby Club and all its members for helping my son have the best chance at living a long and happy life. It was so nice to know that when we needed help the most, the club was one of the first to step forward and offer it. Thank you all and here’s to next season.
Drew, Hannah, Annie and Alfie
