The match, Kenilworth President's XV vs Wooden Spoon XV was played in good spirits with many old faces returning after some time away. Mike Umaga, now Director of Rugby at Bishop Burton College, former KRFC Head Coach Jason Button and former Coventry players Richard Gee and James Hadfield plus Nuneaton's Elliott Brown and Nic Smith all played their part in supporting the Kenilworth regulars. The game was played in an expansive style, at least as long as the lungs held out, with the home side taking plaudits and Elliott Brown the stand out player- here's hoping we see him back at Kenilworth once he decides to step down at Nuns.
Thank you to everyone who played, it was great to come together and throw the ball around in the sun. Here's hoping all the aches and pains subside soon. The good news is have the summer to recover before doing it all again next season. Thanks also to everyone who supported or helped behind the scenes.
