Kenilworth RFC Charity Donation Request Policy


Kenilworth RFC is committed to offering support to charitable organisations and fundraising activities, and in particular, those that fall within the Kenilworth community and the Club’s catchment area (Midlands). We receive many requests for support from various organisations across the UK while we would love to meet them all, unfortunately, it is not possible to accommodate all requests for assistance. 


The following criteria have been put in place to assist us with requests for support:
 

Individuals or groups must reside in the Kenilworth and Midlands area or the organiser or fundraising participant is a current Kenilworth RFC member.
 

All requests for donations to any charitable or not-for-profit organisation must be submitted in writing, on original organisation letterhead and be received no less than 6 weeks prior to the event.


If an individual, group or for-profit business is organising a fundraising event on behalf of the said charity, a letter from the charity authorising the individual, group or for-profit business to collect donations on behalf of the charity must be submitted with the donation request and be received no less than 6 weeks prior to the event. Faxed, email or phoned requests will not be considered. 


Your letter should include the following:


The date and location of your event. An explanation of how the proceeds will be used. A contact person, phone number and e-mail address. The address where the donation might be sent. All requests will be responded to, whether successful or not, by the event date. If you haven't heard back from us, we are still working on your request. Once it has been decided whether or not a donation is to be made, we will contact you, so please be patient. Please note that donated merchandise cannot be used for any other purpose other than that stated on the application letter or re-sold for any individual's profit. 


In order to assist the greatest number of organisations, Kenilworth RFC will only consider one donation request per organisation each calendar year. The decision whether to make a donation is at the sole discretion of Kenilworth Pirates Foundation.
